About the Limpopo River Awareness Kit

The Limpopo River Awareness Kit

The Limpopo River Awareness Kit (Limpopo RAK) is an on-line and CD-ROM-based tool designed to support capacity development in LIMCOM and raise awareness for transboundary water issues in southern Africa. This central focal point for knowledge related to the Limpopo River basin serves as a hub for information management and dissemination for LIMCOM and its member states. The structure of the Limpopo RAK (themes and chapters) was defined through participatory processes involving stakeholders from all four basin states of the Limpopo River basin.

Project outputs from technical activities of the ongoing programme managed by LIMCOM will be integrated as they become available along with the results of other relevant studies.

Funding

The development of the Limpopo River Awareness Kit was funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperationand Development (BMZ) in delegated cooperation with the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), and implemented by the German Cooperation Agency Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) under their Transboundary Water Managementin SADC programme.
